Why I'm using my creativity to save the rainforest...

I am a self taught artist who has been an animal lover all my life. Most of my art is animal art. I belong to A4C a group of artists who sell there art to benifit animals in need so the idea for this quilt just fit what I believe in.

What is the World Land Trust?

World Land Trust-US works with partner organizations to protect the most endangered species of the rainforest through the purchase of land for conservation. To date, WLT-US has protected more than 600,000 acres to date.

The ACEO Endangered Species project will support the WLT-US efforts to purchase rainforest land in the Cosanga Valley, Ecuador. Currently, acreage can be saved at the rate of just $100 per acre.

Each acre purchased protects not only great biodiversity, but also preserves the life-support functions of natural ecosystems that sustain life on earth. Every acre purchased sequesters approximately 250 tons of carbon dioxide that helps to prevent climate change, provides us with the oxygen we need to breath, and protects watershed values. We will help to protect all life on earth each time we protect another acre.
